Your donations to ST. KATHARINE DREXEL ACADEMY are put towards our operating budget, providing support for core programs, and inspiring our students to strive for more. As part of our School community, you are involved in preparing students intellectually, emotionally, and socially to thrive in life.
At Brian's Scholars Foundation, we believe Catholic values centered around education should be open to all- including those families least able to afford it. The Brian's Scholars Endowment Fund at St. Katharine Drexel Academy, which honors former Blessed Sacrament Parish School principal Dr. Brian Bennett, makes that dream a reality. The endowed scholarship program was established in 2007 with a generous gift from the Blickenstaff family.
A well-known education advocate, Dr. Bennett served as a principal of Blessed Sacrament Parish School from 1979 to 1997. His diagnosis with Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS) inspired him to continue making a difference in children's lives. His wife, Jeanine, is a former teacher of Blessed Sacrament, and both of their daughters, Monica and Annie, are Blessed Sacrament graduates.
We are happy to continue Dr. Bennett's legacy here at St. Katharine Drexel Academy by utilizing Brian's Scholars Foundation to provide tuition assistance to our families in need. Drexel Guardian Angel Fund
Your valuable contribution to the Drexel Guardian Angel Fund* provides the opportunity for any child, regardless of financial circumstances, to receive a quality Catholic education. We want all students to enter our campus feeling that they belong and deserve to be here, which is why this fund is crucial to removing financial barriers, making Catholic education accessible to all.
As a donor, you will receive communication from students throughout the year to receive updates and see the impact of your donation.
The SKDA Guardian Angel Fund helps subsidize the gap between tuition and the cost to educate. There are three levels of giving:
GOLD $15,000 donation (helps approximately six students)
SILVER $10,000 donation (helps approximately four students)
BRONZE $5,000 donation (helps approximately two students)
